9th Anniversary Yan Chai Hospital Event Report

An RC race was held at a special venue in Plaza Hollywood, a shopping mall directly connected to Diamond Hill station, near the popular Hong Kong tourist spot of Wong Tai Sin. The race was organized by Yan Chai Hospital, a public hospital, which is reportedly the only hospital in the world to host an RC race, with the proceeds from the event being used as part of the hospital's charity activities. This race is held annually, and this year marked its 9th iteration.

The race featured three classes: a Student Class for students, a Guest Class for television personalities and singers, and a 1/10 Touring Car Class, with 85 participants in total.

 

Team Yokomo's Masami Hirosaka was invited to compete in the 1/10 Touring Car Class, where he drove a Yokomo BD8 2018. In a battle against elite drivers from Hong Kong, he secured a perfect TQ & WIN, never once relinquishing the lead through any of the qualifying or final sessions. Teammate Jackie Shum also placed 5th.
