Team Yokomo's Takashi Kato & BD9 win the RC Tengoku Nagoya Sunday Race!

On Sunday, January 13, 2019, the monthly Sunday Race was held at RC Tengoku Nagoya. Team Yokomo’s Masami Hirosaka and Takashi Kato participated with their BD9s as a precursor to the YAMAYAMA Cup. Takuma Sasaki set the top time in qualifying, with Hirosaka taking the 2nd grid position and Kato the 3rd.

In the final, Hirosaka closely pursued Sasaki, who started in the lead, with the two cars running in tandem until the very end of the race.

The race dynamic changed in the final 30 seconds. Hirosaka made a move to pass Sasaki, but his car caught a pylon and flipped, causing him to fall back. Shortly after, Sasaki's car also flipped on its own. Kato, who took over the lead, finished in first place by a narrow margin of 0.2 seconds.
