[From Drift Meeting to Drift Single]
We will continue to hold events under the new name "Drift Single." This change aims to establish new, clear judging criteria that can be easily understood anywhere, allowing the event—which has been held as "Drift Meeting" since the dawn of drifting—to develop globally.
In transitioning to Drift Single, we have changed our judging format from the previous one so that drift competitions can be understood and enjoyed more easily all over the world.
Participants can check the criteria during practice, allowing them to gauge their own progress. This provides clear goals and a greater sense of achievement. Yokomo will continue to further energize the drift scene, so please look forward to it!!
Yokomo will communicate the joy of RC drifting as:
Drift Single = Individual Competition
Drift Dance = Team Competition
[Drift Single Judging Criteria]
(1) Distance from the wall: Three lines are drawn at 10cm intervals in the clip box (deduction method).
(Walls are set up in the clip box area. Hitting a wall results in a course-out.)
(2) Angle: Standard angle lines are set in the clip box (deduction method).
(3) Initiation point: Points are marked to indicate where to start drifting (deduction method).
(4) Line: A specified line is set (deduction method).
(5) Passion: A drift that excites the venue (addition method, 5 points maximum).
・Judging will be based on the 5 points above.
・The system is primarily deduction-based, with only "Passion" being addition-based.
・The maximum score for (1) through (4) is 95 points, and the maximum for (5) is 5 points, for a total of 100 points.
・More clip boxes will result in a wider range for deductions.
Entries for Yokomo Drift Single Round-2 will open soon! We expect spots to fill up quickly, so we encourage those who wish to participate to sign up early.
