We held the Yokomo Drift Single Round 21 & DRIFT DANCE 23rd at Tsukuba RC Park. Being held on August 17th, it was a season of severe heat, but thanks to the fully air-conditioned facility, we were able to run the event comfortably.
It was the first time in a while that we used the full layout of the Drift Grand Prix course. While the Entry and Sports classes utilized a shortcut, the Expert class and above featured a high-speed layout where drivers had to pick up speed from the front-left switchback before diving into the corner.
It was a tension-filled battle where even the top D1-class drivers were not immune to mistakes, with some even hitting the wall and being eliminated in the qualifiers.
