[Rajikon-ya Higashiomi in K2 Circuit Round 3 Report]
On Sunday, April 28th, the YD-2TC Scale & F1 In K2 Circuit Round 3 was held.
We were fortunate to have great racing weather for the first time in a while.
14 participants joined us for the qualifying round of the YOKOMO 2WD Touring Car All Japan Championship YD-2TC Scale Class, which is popular for its moderate speed and fresh driving characteristics.
The regulations for the YD-2TC Scale Class allow for scale bodies from other manufacturers (excluding the Raikiri GT, etc.) and include a handicap system that fluctuates based on the previous year's results, such as tire rotation speed limits. In addition to these, we set a limit of 2750–3100 rpm (at 7.2v regulated) (advantageous for new participants).
"Qualifying"
Tamaki took pole position with 21L 5:10.253. Following him were Takayama in 2nd, Ikeda in 3rd, Yamaguchi in 4th, and Obayashi in 5th, rounding out the A-main. The B-main consisted of Misawa in 6th, the Store Manager in 7th, Nakai in 8th, Tanimoto in 9th, and Kanitani in 10th. The C-main lineup was Kanitani Jr., Uratani, Watanabe, and RT Tanaka GL in that order.
"Finals"
C-main: Kanitani Jr. dominated the race to win and move up to the B-main. 2nd: Uratani, 3rd: Watanabe, 4th: RT Tanaka GL.
B-main: Misawa ignored the handicap and finished first to move up. 2nd: Store Manager, 3rd: Tanimoto, 4th: Nakai, 5th: Kanitani, 6th: Kanitani Jr. In the father-son battle, Dad won!
A-main: Misawa and Yamaguchi got off to a fantastic start and pulled away. The rest of the pack was a tightly contested battle with frequent position changes, but in the end, pole-sitter Tamaki took the win, followed by Yamaguchi in 2nd, Ikeda in 3rd, Obayashi in 4th, Takayama in 5th, and Misawa in 6th.
From the next race in May, both Tamaki and Matsui will be subject to RPM and weight handicaps, and Takayama will be subject to a weight handicap.
Thank you very much to everyone who participated. Our next event is on May 19th.
We look forward to seeing many of you there. Store Manager
