Yokomo Off-Road Challenge Cup at Champ RC Stadium

ヨコモ オフロードチャレンジカップ in チャンプRCスタジアム
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, we held the Yokomo Off-Road Challenge Cup at Champ RC Stadium in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture.

This indoor off-road track is a premier circuit that allows drivers to fully showcase the skills necessary for dirt off-roading, featuring long tabletops, reverse-banked turns, and double jumps. The event featured five classes: 2WD Stock 17.5T, 4WD Stock 13.5T, Yokomo 2WD Stock 17.5T, the RO1.0 class, and the Vintage class. Many drivers practice regularly at Champ Sagamihara, and the day before the event was so busy that it was difficult to even stand on the drivers' stand. With many visiting drivers also practicing beforehand, the excitement was high across all classes.

In the RO class, Shin-e led the race from start to finish, taking TQ and the win without letting other drivers near him. Konuma, who started third, navigated through the chaos to move into second place, reaching the podium in his first RO challenge.

In the Yokomo 2WD Stock class, Sasaki dominated the field to take TQ and the win, thanks to his exceptionally fast best lap times. Hattori drove solidly to secure second place. Third-place finisher Tamura of Team Yokomo reached the podium with a nearly bone-stock RO2.0, demonstrating the high potential of the RO2.0 platform.

In the Vintage class, Shimizu and Sujishi led the race by trading off the best lap times. In the end, Shimizu pulled away to victory, making the most of his 4WD traction.

The 2WD Stock class, which had the highest number of participants and intense competition, saw Sasaki take TQ after a strong showing in the qualifiers. Sasaki pulled away from the pack in the early stages of the final, but second-place driver Iyo gradually closed the gap and eventually took the lead. In the closing stages, Sasaki managed to reclaim the lead and held on to win, marking his second TQ and victory following his performance in the Yokomo class.

In the 4WD Stock class, Soma overtook the early TQ-starter Kyle, but Kyle fought back mid-race in a heated dead heat. After that, the battle for second place and beyond became a scramble. Shimamura and Takahashi prevailed in the battle to claim their spots on the podium.

Champ RC Stadium is extremely popular as an indoor off-road circuit. It is packed with all the excitement and fun of dirt racing, so why not come and give it a try?
