We held Round 1 of the new "Drift Single" event, which was renamed from Drift Meeting and features a completely revamped judging method. For the past several years, we used point-based judging via YDS, a video-based judging system; however, to build a style where anyone can judge anywhere, we assigned points for wall proximity, angle, initiation point, racing line, and passion, for a total of 100 possible points.
We were joined by real-car D1 driver Takahiro Ueno as our guest judge. Our familiar MC, Makoto Kosaka, also brought further excitement with her lighthearted commentary, showing an even deeper understanding of RC drifting.
