Drift Singles Round 1: Event Guidelines and Entry Form

We will be holding the "2022 Yokomo Drift Single Round 1" on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

【From Drift Meeting to Drift Single】
We have decided to rebrand our events, which have been held under the name "Drift Meeting" since the dawn of the drift scene, to "Drift Single." This change aims to set new, more accessible judging criteria and facilitate the global development of our drift events.

In transitioning to Drift Single, we have revised the judging system from our previous method to one that allows drift competitions to be enjoyed and understood by people all over the world.

Since participants can check the criteria during practice sessions to evaluate their own progress, their goals will be clearer, leading to a greater sense of achievement. Yokomo will continue to further energize the drift scene, so please look forward to it!!

Drift Single = Individual Competition
Drift Dance = Team Competition
Through these, Yokomo will continue to share the joys of RC drifting even further.

【Judging Criteria for Drift Single】

① Distance from the wall: Three lines are drawn at 10cm intervals in the clip box (deduction-based).
（The wall is set within the clip box area. Hitting it results in a course out.）

② Angle: Reference angle lines are set in the clip box (deduction-based).

③ Initiation point: The point where drifting begins is marked (deduction-based).

④ Line: A designated line is set (deduction-based).

⑤ Passion: Drifting that excites the venue (bonus-based, max 5 points).

・Judging is based on the five points above.
・It is primarily a deduction-based system, with Passion being the only bonus-based criteria.
・The maximum score for ①~④ is 95 points, and the maximum for ⑤ is 5 points, for a total of 100 points.
・The more clip boxes there are, the wider the range for potential deductions.

Entry for the Yokomo Drift Single Round 1 will open soon! We anticipate that capacity may be reached quickly, so we encourage those who wish to participate to sign up early.

Regarding entries, you must first register as a My Yokomo member (My Yokomo ID = registered email address) before applying. Details on My Yokomo membership registration can be found on page 3 of the event guidelines.

Tsukuba RC Arena is implementing measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. In addition to disinfecting and ventilating the facilities, we ask for your cooperation in wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, and undergoing temperature checks so that we can continue to operate as a safe facility for everyone.
