The layout was based on the Ebisu Circuit Minami (South) course. As it is a famous layout that has been replicated at least once at every circuit, the drivers had a solid mental image of the driving line, leading to an intense battle with a constant stream of high scores.
Every year, the G-Circuit round uses the YDS (Yokomo Drift System) mechanical judging system, which ensures even stricter scoring. However, because G-Circuit is home to some of the nation's top-class drivers, we saw a succession of competitors scoring over 100 points in the qualifiers, making it one of the toughest qualifying rounds in recent years, with the cut-off for the tandem battle drifting being in the high 90s.

First thing in the morning, Head Judge Takahiro held a briefing to explain the detailed criteria for each sector. Since there were a particularly large number of first-time participants this time, we also held events such as a YDS contest the day before to help everyone feel more familiar with the system.

Guest driver Hoshimiya-senshu from RC926 participated, hosting a booth and providing customer support. As Hoshimiya-senshu frequently runs events at venues like G-Circuit, he was able to provide the participating drivers with precise and helpful advice.
