The Yokomo Drift Meeting Round?? was held at Yatabe Arena. As the first Yatabe Arena round of the year, the event saw a turnout of well over 200 participants across the two days, making for an even more exciting atmosphere than last year.
The layout used was the Meihan layout, which was featured in the TDM Round 1 held in February. The requirements were extremely strict right from the start, including entry angle, speed, and machine posture. After the initial exit, drivers were required to swing the car back aggressively toward the judging stand and push it hard all the way to the outer zone.
Even in the single-run qualifying, while speed and line were the most important factors until last year, the weight of the angle in judging criteria has increased significantly this year. Consequently, many drivers showcased intense runs right on the edge of spinning out in an attempt to replicate the driving style demanded by the judges.
