On October 17, 2021, we held the Drift Meeting Round-113 at the Tsukuba RC Park Drift Grand Prix course, the first such event in approximately 10 months. Despite the unfortunate weather—a cold rain that felt like winter—the venue was filled with smiles and cheers, buzzing with energy once again. We welcomed participants who were unable to attend due to the state of emergency, and the event was held with careful attention to infectious disease prevention.
Inspired by the D1GP course at Tsukuba Circuit, the layout featured a straight chicane leading into the left outer perimeter, followed by a switchback leading into the hairpin turn before the judges' stand. Guest judge and D1GP driver Takahiro Ueno set the theme of "driving with a solid drift angle," and there appeared to be a significant difference in judging points, particularly during the approach from the left outer perimeter to the switchback.

Takahiro Ueno gave the instruction, "This is a drift event, so let's drift properly!" which seemed to confuse some drivers who had been driving the acceleration section with a bit more grip during practice.

The demo run was performed by Kosei Kanaya. He seems to grow more mature every time we see him.
While many drivers struggled to attack the course, Takujin displayed a level of driving above the rest. He dominated the qualifiers with high-level consistency, repeatedly hitting 98-point scores while maintaining high speed and angle. Although he settled for runner-up in the Masters class, one of the two classes he entered, Takujin showcased his strength in the main RWD D1 class, securing a spectacular victory in the tandem battles.
The members of the 02 Platoon, who visited us for the first time in a while, also seemed to enjoy themselves thoroughly. It is truly a pleasure to see people enjoying the event not just as a competition, but as an experience. Although the temperature was low due to ventilation, they enlivened the venue in their Re:Zero costumes.
