【From Drift Meeting to Drift Single】
We have held events under the name "Drift Meeting" since the dawn of the drifting era. To make them easier to understand everywhere and to establish new judging criteria for global development, we will be holding future drift events under the name "Drift Single."
With the change to Drift Single, we have modified our judging system from the previous one to make drift competitions easy to understand and enjoy around the world. Since participating drivers can check these standards during practice, they can gauge the results of their own training, which clarifies their goals and increases their sense of achievement. Yokomo will continue to further energize the drifting scene, so please look forward to it!!
Drift Single = Individual competition
Drift Dance = Team competition
Through these, Yokomo will further convey the fun of drift R/C cars.
【Drift Single Judging Criteria】
① Distance from the wall: 3 lines drawn at 10cm intervals in the clip box (Deduction system)
(The wall is set in the clip box area. If a car hits it, it is a course out)
② Angle: Reference angle lines set in the clip box (Deduction system)
③ Initiation point: Drift points marked with dots (Deduction system)
④ Line: Designated line set (Deduction system)
⑤ Passion: Drifting that excites the venue (Bonus point system, max 5 points)
・The above 5 points are judged.
・The system is primarily deduction-based, with only "Passion" being bonus-based.
・The maximum score for ①-④ is 95 points, and the maximum for ⑤ is 5 points, for a total of 100 points.
・More clip boxes increase the range of potential deductions.
・Accidents during drifting within the judging areas of ①-④
(Understeer, straightening out of a drift, wobbling, loss of speed, being swept wide, etc.,
are also subject to deduction)
