On November 20th, we held the Yokomo Drift Meeting Round-86 at RC SHOP MECCA in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. With a total of 60 participants, this was the largest turnout for a Yokomo Drift Meeting held outside of Yatabe Arena this year.
The layout was inspired by the "Meihan Sportsland C Course" from full-scale drifting, featuring a high-difficulty track that required full-throttle acceleration from the exit, followed by initiating a drift at an angle and hugging the wall through the corner. Since a key judging criteria was wall-hugging at high speeds, there were crashes one after another.
Thanks to MECCA’s traditional "all-night" session held from the previous day, many participating drivers were out practicing from the early morning.
The Expert Class final was the most intense battle of the entire event. The scores were so close that a difference of just 0.5 points shifted the rankings, making it a competition where anyone could have won.
Winner: Kacchan
2nd Place: Fuku-san
3rd Place: Kanda
In the D1 Class, local driver Yamato advanced to the finals after qualifying at the top and showing consistent tandem drifting. Standing in his way was Team Yokomo's Shunsuke. While it seemed the momentum was with the local favorite Yamato, the experience gap showed, and after a mistake by Yamato, Shunsuke took the victory.
Winner: Shunsuke
2nd Place: Yamato
3rd Place: Kiyoshiro
Due to the high number of participants in the RWD Class, the level of those who passed the qualifying rounds was extremely high, with many tandem drifts that even surpassed the quality of the D1 class.

3rd Place: Kengo
