On September 9th and 10th, we held the Yokomo Drift Meeting Rd-94 at Yatabe Arena. Being the turn of the season, there was a significant temperature difference between day and night, leading to challenging conditions for the qualifiers and finals as the track surface changed with every run.
The first day consisted of 5 classes: Entry, Twin Drift, RWD Sports, Expert, and RWD Twin Drift, with the event proceeding in a friendly atmosphere.
While the Yokomo Drift Meeting was once dominated by AWD entries, we have recently seen an increase in RWD participants, with many first-time competitors. With over 40 out of the 55 total participants on Day 1 using RWD, the event has evolved into a format of RWD DAY on the first day and AWD DAY on the second.
The layout was inspired by the real-life Formula Drift Long Beach course. Unlike the D1GP style "out-in-out" line, this unique layout required drivers to stick strictly to the outside, offering a fresh experience that was enjoyable for both AWD and RWD drivers.

We had two drivers perform demo runs. First, for Day 1, we had Itsuki (left), who impressively won both the D1 and RWD classes at the TamTam Sendai Round (Rd-92). He performed an RWD demo run that scored nearly 100 points. He also put up a high score in the official single run to advance to the finals, where he excited the crowd with a fierce battle against world champion Hayato.
For Day 2, we had FuruBoh (right), who was the D1 class runner-up at Rd-93. As a top-tier driver who has consistently reached the finals this year and currently leads the D1 class series rankings, he showcased his master-level driving during the demo, even though he narrowly missed the cut for the finals this time.

The Yokomo Drift Meeting featured a vendor booth area. In addition to our regular exhibitor, TN RACING, FUTABA joined us this time to display new products and provide user support. We also hosted the "Yokomo Clinic," where Team Yokomo provided setup advice, receiving many questions regarding the YD-2.
