　Introducing the YD-2 EX, a new high-end, competitive machine based on the YD-2 series that has brought numerous victories to drift competitions! The slim main chassis features a matte graphite finish, enhancing its race-bred appearance, and works in tandem with the newly designed front bulkhead to generate traction through optimal flex. The aluminum shock towers have been modified with new mounting positions for the upper arms and shocks, further expanding the range of settings. Key Features

　The front steering angle and Ackerman ratio are the core of an RWD drift car. The high performance proven by the YD-2 brings out the full potential of the front-end "drive."

　By utilizing aluminum for the steering components and suspension mounts, steering response and front-end tracking performance are dramatically improved, transmitting the driver's steering input to the track without loss.

　The newly designed front bulkhead is configured to effectively utilize the flex of the main chassis, efficiently gaining traction.

　The 4-gear transmission features a design that is innovative for a drift car. By mounting the motor transversely, it prevents the disruption of left-right balance caused by motor counter-torque, resulting in neutral steering characteristics. On the other hand, rear traction increases when the throttle is applied, allowing for greater stability and acceleration when exiting corners. The sealed gearbox also offers excellent dust resistance. 　Additionally, the rear transmission's gear differential utilizes lightweight resin bevel gears to reduce weight, contributing to improved throttle response and agility.

　The super low-friction shocks feature aluminum cylinders treated with Kashima coating to minimize frictional resistance with the piston to the absolute limit. These shocks adopt an 11.2mm big-bore cylinder, which is the largest capacity in its class for on-road use. When using the resin tires common in drift driving, minute vibrations from the road surface are a major factor in reducing tire grip; however, the increased capacity of these super low-friction shocks absorbs even these vibrations, providing maximum grip. As they are height-adjustable, you can change the ride height simply by rotating the spring tensioner, and they accommodate springs of various lengths. Naturally, by changing the shock oil or pistons to finely tune the damping force, you can obtain the optimal setting for various road surfaces and driving conditions.

　LS rear suspension arms, which allow for a long stroke in the rear suspension, come as standard equipment. By increasing the down-stroke amount, the suspension actively promotes rear roll, enhancing traction and stability.

　The front and rear shock towers feature additional damper mounting holes, significantly widening the range of settings. The rear shock tower also includes additional mounting positions for the upper arms, allowing for a diverse range of settings for roll center and camber change to suit various driving styles. 　Furthermore, the aluminum rear suspension mounts are set with less toe-in to meet the demands of expert drivers. While eliciting smooth turning, it actively pushes the machine forward at corner exits, leading to improved top-end speed.

　The YD-2 series comes with two types of battery holders, supporting everything from short Li-po batteries to standard-sized pack batteries. The holders can be removed with a single touch, making battery changes effortless.
