This is a racing-grade capacitor designed to maximize the output performance of your speed controller. Sudden throttle inputs and other high-load conditions can cause a rapid drop in power from the battery; this capacitor temporarily compensates for that power, increasing acceleration when exiting corners and similar situations.
Connect each of the wires coming from the capacitor to the battery positive/negative terminals on the ESC. The capacitor itself is non-polarized, so it can be connected to either terminal.
The aluminum case provides excellent heat dissipation, and the slim design makes it easy to mount on your machine.
