This Team High-Traction Gearbox Spacer was born from an idea by Team YOKOMO DRIFT. This spacer set increases rear traction by raising the gearbox height of the YD-2SXIII. The main plate is made of 2mm thick steel, weighing approximately 17.8g, and features a Yokomo engraving as a stylish accent. The set also includes an aluminum plate to be installed on the front of the gearbox and aluminum shims for the front side of the upper deck. While the parts are primarily designed for the SXIII, they can also be used on E-series and R-series chassis with the addition of spacers.
Increasing weight not only enhances ground feel, but by raising the differential position, the angle of the universal shafts increases. When rotating, this causes the tips of the universal axles to exert more downward pressure on the tires against the track surface, resulting in a setup that provides even greater traction.
