The steering imbalance caused by longitudinally mounted motors, which was a problem until a few years ago, has been minimized by the arrival of brushless motors with low anti-torque, dramatically increasing stability during jumps and cornering even in shaft-drive vehicles. Naturally, the high throttle response, dust resistance, and ease of maintenance unique to shaft drives have also been refined, making it no exaggeration to say that this is the ideal form of a modern 4WD off-road car.

In its drivetrain, the front and rear sealed gearboxes are held by aluminum bulkheads, and the bulkhead height can be adjusted by replacing the eccentric cams on both sides. Fine-tuning the differential position (dogbone angle) relative to ride height and suspension geometry becomes a key setting point that greatly influences grip and turning performance. It is possible to adapt to various road surface conditions and driving styles, including front-rear balance, and finding the sweet spot will likely provide a significant advantage.

In addition, the YZ-4SF kit includes two types of front and rear shock springs, front and rear stabilizer bars, and gear differential oils—one for dirt surfaces and one for high-grip surfaces such as carpet or artificial turf—so you can choose according to the surface you are driving on.
