The YD-2 EX, the high-end model of the YD-2 series that achieved the feat of winning two consecutive World Championships, is now reborn as the YD-2 EX II, featuring enhanced performance even on low-grip surfaces!

As an advanced low-gravity concept RWD drift car chassis with a proven track record, the YD-2 EX has been reborn as the EX II. To improve combat effectiveness on low-grip surfaces such as P-tiles, which have become increasingly common in recent years, we repeatedly tested at circuits nationwide and newly adopted newly designed front ST blocks and front/rear short lower arms!

With top-class traction performance that adapts to various situations, from the relatively high-grip surfaces that were the traditional strength of the EX to low-grip surfaces, it now supports the high-speed trends of the current drift scene.

Continuing with the features that made the EX popular, such as the matte graphite chassis that can accommodate all 1/10 RC car batteries and the Kashima-coated low-friction shocks, enjoy the passionate RWD drifting experience with the EX II, which balances the latest driving performance with a sense of top-tier ownership!!

By adopting the newly designed short lower arms and ST blocks for the YD-2E series, further steering angle improvement and a wider tread have been achieved. At the same time, the Ackerman has been optimized, allowing for a more aggressive driving style.

All YD-2E series models can be equipped with various batteries of all sizes sold for 1/10 RC cars, including Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, and Li-Po. (The product comes with two types of battery holders: for standard size and short Li-Po.)

A 4-gear transmission with a design that is innovative for a drift car. By placing the motor horizontally, it prevents the loss of left-right balance due to the motor's counter-torque, bringing out neutral steering characteristics. On the other hand, since rear traction increases when the throttle is ON, it is possible to draw out a sense of stability and acceleration when exiting corners. The sealed gearbox is also attractive for its high dust resistance.

In addition, the gear differential in the rear transmission uses lightweight resin bevel gears and an aluminum axle to reduce weight, improving throttle response.

Super low-friction shocks with aluminum shock cylinders treated with Kashima coating to reduce frictional resistance with the piston to the absolute limit. We have adopted an 11.2mm big-bore cylinder, which is the largest capacity in its class for on-road use. In drift driving using resin tires, the fine vibrations received from the road surface are a major factor in reducing tire grip, but these super low-friction shocks with increased capacity absorb even these vibrations to obtain maximum grip. Since it is height-adjustable, you can change the ride height simply by rotating the spring tensioner, and it supports springs of various lengths. Of course, you can obtain the optimal setting for various road surfaces and driving situations by finely adjusting the damping force by changing the shock oil or piston.

To take advantage of the rear traction obtained with the 4-gear transmission, the rear toe-in is intentionally set to be small. Without wasting the acceleration force when the throttle is opened, it pushes the machine forward. Since there is less rear catching during cornering, it enables natural turn-ins and sharp transitions.
