DP-YD2G

　The YD-2 is a dedicated RWD drift chassis brought to you by Yokomo, the pioneer of RC drifting. Its innovative 4-gear drive system provides excellent throttle response and high rear traction. The transversely mounted motor minimizes left-right balance disruption, and the neutral steering characteristics provide plenty of headroom for line tracing.

　The front end has also been completely redesigned specifically for RWD drift machines. By incorporating an Ackerman ratio refined by Team Yokomo drivers, it achieves a natural steering feel, significantly lowering the difficulty of full-counter drift driving.

　Furthermore, this model comes with the steering gyro (YG-302) essential for RWD drift cars, making it the perfect package for those trying RWD drifting for the first time.

　The 4-gear transmission features an innovative design for a drift car. Mounting the motor transversely prevents loss of left-right balance caused by motor counter-torque, resulting in neutral steering characteristics. Meanwhile, applying throttle increases rear traction, allowing for greater stability and acceleration when exiting corners. The enclosed gearbox also provides excellent dust protection.

　The front steering angle and Ackerman ratio have been meticulously fine-tuned for RWD drift counter-steering. By maximizing front-end performance during steering, it prevents the rear from sliding out and enables cornering with minimal loss of speed. Naturally, the tie-rod mounting positions can be adjusted to match driver preference and road surface conditions, allowing the car to adapt to a wide variety of road grip levels.

　The resin main chassis offers just the right amount of flexibility and suppleness to extract the best traction balance. In drift driving with hard tires, vibrations can sometimes lead to reduced traction; however, the resin chassis absorbs these vibrations effectively to improve ground contact. 　The battery holder can be adjusted to accommodate everything from full-size straight packs to short Li-po batteries.

　Resin oil-filled shocks with smooth operation provide high levels of ground contact. Being height-adjustable, the ride height can be changed simply by rotating the spring tensioner, and they are compatible with springs of various lengths. Of course, by fine-tuning damping force through changing shock oil or pistons, you can achieve the optimal setup for various road surfaces and driving conditions.

　The included YG-302 gyro is highly acclaimed by expert drivers for its performance. While responding firmly to the slide of the machine, it suppresses excessive steering movement to realize natural-looking counter-steer just like a full-scale car. If using a transmitter/receiver capable of 3-channel adjustment, you can adjust the gain (gyro sensitivity) directly from the transmitter.
