With many drift enthusiasts recently focusing on traction control for low-grip surfaces, the "rear motor" layout provides the answer to maximizing rear traction without altering the overall vehicle weight.

By mounting the heavy motor in the rear overhang, the weight distribution places the load directly onto the rear tires. This allows for the most efficient traction under throttle and achieves an optimal balance with excellent drivability! This high-spec machine comes standard with a popular matte graphite double-deck chassis, aluminum SLF oil shocks, and aluminum front and rear shock towers, creating a package that will satisfy even the most expert users.

The most distinctive feature of the YD-2R is the motor mounted in the rear overhang. This layout was developed to place the maximum possible load on the rear tire contact patch, achieving overwhelming acceleration. It is particularly advantageous on low-grip surfaces.

The 3-gear transmission gearbox offers one of the highest drive efficiency settings in the YD-2 series. The motor's counter-torque also acts to push the tires into the road surface during acceleration, a design that further increases traction when the throttle is applied.

The kit comes standard with an aluminum motor mount plate that allows the motor position to be adjusted in 6 steps around the top gear. You can adjust the rear roll amount and other characteristics to your preference.

The newly designed integrated upper deck increases pitching rigidity and offers attractive, high-response steering characteristics. It is also possible to remove the rear-positioned brace support, allowing you to soften the chassis twist or flexibly adjust your electronics layout.

The front and rear shock towers are made of high-rigidity aluminum. This increases suspension response and reliably absorbs shocks from the road surface. Of course, the beveled edge finish also provides an outstanding look.

The front steering angle, capable of handling deep drift angles, is a hallmark of the YD-2 series. Depending on the steering system settings, it is possible to increase the steering angle even further, with this versatility enabling dynamic driving.

The Ackerman ratio, which is crucial for RWD drifting, provides a wide range of settings that can be adjusted to match various drifting styles and corner sizes.

Two types of battery holders are included, making the chassis compatible with all commonly used RC car batteries, from standard-size batteries to short Li-po batteries.

The rear suspension arms are a long-arm specification that provides mild sliding characteristics. The shape allows for a longer down-stroke, improving ground contact during roll.

The kit comes standard with front and rear Super Low Friction aluminum shocks, known for their smooth operation. They absorb fine vibrations from the road surface, further enhancing tire grip. They are height-adjustable, allowing you to change the ride height simply by turning the dial.
