Among these, the top-end model YD-2SX has been upgraded with a newly developed curved slide rack to become a true, world-class competitive machine—the “YD-2 SXII”—now available in a limited-edition red version!

Based on a luxurious matte graphite main chassis, this model comes equipped with a wealth of vibrant red-anodized aluminum parts and high-quality graphite options. You can adjust the weight and rigidity balance, allowing you to fine-tune the machine’s characteristics to suit various driving styles. Main Features

Key aluminum parts have been treated with a vibrant red anodized color. The aluminum suspension mounts, which serve as a setup part, are finished in black anodize to ensure a seamless look even if the settings are changed. *Red-anodized parts are strictly limited edition; additional parts will not be sold separately.

The front suspension arms are a newly designed short type. The position of the steering stopper has also been refined, achieving an overwhelming steering angle.

The slide rack adopts a curved shape derived from repeated test runs. It eliminates the tie-rod interference at maximum steering angle that was a negative point of straight-type systems, providing high controllability and confident driving even at deep drift angles. Furthermore, by mounting the slide rack unit at a forward tilt, the change in the tie-rod angle relative to the horizontal plane during steering operation is suppressed, resulting in stable cornering characteristics throughout the entire steering range.

For the ideal steering feel, the servo is mounted in an inverted position. The front bulkhead and servo mounts are made of aluminum to achieve high responsiveness.

Optional graphite chassis plates, which attach to both sides of the main chassis, come as standard equipment. They increase the rigidity of the main chassis, and by choosing the screw fixation positions between the side braces and these plates, you can subtly adjust the chassis roll rigidity. This allows for fine-tuning of the front-to-rear traction balance without altering the suspension alignment, making it easier to obtain driving characteristics suited to surface conditions.

Only short Li-po batteries are compatible, but you can choose from various mounting styles depending on the battery stopper’s fixed position. In addition to horizontal and vertical layouts, the horizontal layout offers three positions (front to back) to choose from, allowing you to adjust front/rear traction by changing the weight balance.

By changing the mounting position of the motor mount plate, you can choose from seven front-to-rear motor positions. This allows for fine-tuning of the weight balance, enabling you to achieve the optimal setup for the driving surface.

The short rear suspension arms deliver traction performance that draws out the full potential of drift tires. Load is easily applied even with minimal roll motion, improving grip throughout the corner. The model is also equipped with a new rear hub carrier that supports high upper arms. This setup allows for effective use of the contact patch through camber change, even when using tires with a flat tread surface.

Equipped with Super Low Friction Shocks featuring aluminum shock cylinders treated with Kashima coating to minimize frictional resistance with the piston. These are the class-largest 11.2mm big-bore shocks for on-road use.
