The center-drive layout was developed by thoroughly analyzing the chassis motion during driving that dictates maneuverability, and by optimizing the front-to-rear balance of weight and drive torque. The overwhelming drivability created by the fusion of all values—roll center, turning axis, pitching balance, and weight distribution—defies the common perception of modern touring cars, which tend to be twitchy, and realizes a balance of stability and speed!
While minimizing pitching motion to achieve the performance necessary for precise corner approaches, the 2mm longer front and rear suspension arms allow for high-traction acceleration on exit. This provides controllable characteristics throughout the entire cornering process and reduces the burden on the driver.

The center bulkhead layout features front and rear equal-length belts. By suppressing pitching motion, driving stability is significantly improved. It is also characteristic that the chassis turning axis is positioned slightly forward due to weight balance considerations, and bringing the center of gravity closer to the turning axis enables quick cornering.
While prioritizing cornering speed can lead to concerns about deceleration during turns, the BD10 secures high traction by extending the front and rear suspension arms by 2mm each. By firmly securing the vector that drives the machine forward, cornering speed has been maximized to the limit.
The front section of the upper deck is significantly separated. Considering the rigidity balance caused by moving the motor mount further forward than in previous models, it is set to increase front-end grip. If you wish to prioritize rear traction, you can increase rigidity by fixing the cross-plate posts to achieve a stable steering feel.
Chassis rigidity can be finely adjusted using the rear stiffener, which connects from the front cross-plate post to the center motor mount via a stiffener plate.
The area in front of the motor mount and both sides of the rear stiffener feature a floating structure that does not contact the chassis surface; when not fixed, this ensures clearance that does not impede chassis twist. On high-grip surfaces, chassis rigidity can be increased by inserting 0.5mm aluminum shims and securing them with screws.
The center pulley uses a large 20T diameter to reduce the load on the belt. Like the previous model, it uses a cantilevered design with low friction, but rigidity and rotational accuracy have been improved by integrating the post with the motor mount and increasing the shaft diameter.
These are oil shocks newly designed by AXON for the BD10. The cylinder features the newly developed HVF coating, which improves durability and allows for the maintenance of precise, smooth operation.
The key to shock operation is the O-ring on the bottom of the cylinder, and the BD10 adopts a dual O-ring system that stands apart from conventional shocks. The structure supports the main O-ring with a thin, large-diameter O-ring; by not compressing the main O-ring, the pressure against the shaft is stabilized, making it possible to prevent oil leaks while keeping operation light. Furthermore, the shaft guide also features a tapered surface where it meets the O-ring to facilitate O-ring centering.
The O-rings used are oil-bleed types pre-coated with oil. By minimizing the difference in shape between their brand-new state and during use, shock operation stability and setting reproducibility are enhanced.
The stabilizer bars are also made by AXON. They use an optimal torsion bar spring steel whose performance was specifically evaluated for RC cars, optimizing the torsional moment. This achieves unprecedented cornering performance and stability.
