The BD10, which continues to make great strides in racing scenes around the world, now has a long-awaited aluminum chassis version! While the component configuration is the same as the previous graphite chassis version, the main chassis has been changed to aluminum to further promote a lower center of gravity. It improves stability on high-grip surfaces and is recommended for users driving on indoor circuits and the like. The aluminum main chassis features a luxurious black anodized finish with beveled edges. Team Yokomo drivers have already started competing in races with this main chassis, and have achieved good results by taking advantage of its high stability in carpet track races and similar events.

A center bulkhead layout with equal-length front and rear belts. By suppressing pitching motion, driving stability is significantly increased. A characteristic feature is that the chassis's center of rotation is slightly shifted forward due to the weight balance; by bringing the center of gravity closer to the center of rotation, quick cornering is made possible.

While prioritizing only cornering speed often leads to a feeling of slowing down in corners, the BD10 ensures high traction by extending the front and rear suspension arms by 2mm each. By securing a solid vector to push the machine forward, cornering speed is maximized to the limit.

The front side of the upper deck is widely separated. Considering the rigidity balance resulting from the motor mount being positioned further forward than before, it is set to enhance front grip feel. If you wish to prioritize rear traction, you can increase rigidity by securing the cross plate post for a stable steering feel.

Chassis rigidity can be finely adjusted via the front cross plate post, the center motor mount, and the rear stiffener connected through a stiffener plate.

The front of the motor mount and both sides of the rear stiffener feature a floating structure that does not touch the chassis surface; when not fixed, clearance is maintained so as not to hinder chassis flex. On high-grip surfaces, you can increase chassis rigidity by inserting 0.5mm aluminum shims and securing them with screws.

The center pulley uses a large 20T diameter to reduce load on the belt. As before, it uses a cantilevered design for low friction, but the post is integrated with the motor mount, and the shaft diameter has been increased to enhance rigidity and rotational accuracy.

Oil shocks newly designed for the BD10 by AXON. The cylinders are treated with a newly developed HVF coating that increases durability, allowing for smooth, high-precision operation to be maintained.

The key to shock operation is the O-ring at the bottom of the cylinder, and the BD10 adopts a dual O-ring system that sets it apart from previous shocks. With a structure that supports the main O-ring with a thin, large-diameter O-ring, the main O-ring is not tightened, stabilizing the pressure against the shaft and preventing oil leaks while keeping operation light. In addition, the shaft guide has a tapered shape on the surface that contacts the O-ring, promoting centering of the O-ring.

The O-rings used are oil-bleed type, which are pre-coated with oil. By minimizing the difference in shape between a new state and during use as much as possible, the stability of shock operation and the reproducibility of settings are increased.

Stabilizer bars from AXON are also used. By adopting optimal torsion bar spring steel, whose performance has been specifically determined for RC cars, the torsional moment has been optimized. This achieves unprecedented cornering performance and stability.
