With the goal of recapturing the 2020 World Championship, Team Yokomo has worked as one, testing at circuits around the world and paying meticulous attention to every detail to create a full model change. The 1/10 touring car chassis, the "BD9," has finally arrived.

As a leading company in touring car chassis, the "BD" series has consistently driven the global racing scene with advanced ideas and performance. Led by ace driver Ronald Völker, the team has repeatedly conducted rigorous development in real-world racing conditions, resulting in a design where over 90% of the parts are new compared to its predecessor, the champion chassis "BD8 2018." Its unparalleled driving performance and durability set a new benchmark for touring car chassis.

By thoroughly scrutinizing everything from part shapes to the materials used, we have made the chassis less susceptible to environmental changes such as climate and temperature, allowing it to consistently deliver its high inherent performance even under the extreme conditions of a race. From Sunday drivers to high-end users competing in World Championships, every user who gets their hands on the "BD9" will be able to feel its performance, making it the best choice for those who aspire to win!

BD9 Setting Skills Corner Now Open! We are revealing the "how-to" for drawing out the full potential of the new "BD9" touring car, which has been well-received for its high driving performance and ease of handling! We introduce the know-how cultivated by Team Yokomo!

By narrowing the bulkhead width, it has become possible to achieve a supple ride that further utilizes chassis flex. It is easy to adapt to various track conditions and achieves high traction. Additionally, two types of screws—aluminum and steel—are included for fixing the upper and lower bulkheads and the upper deck, allowing you to change the flex by selecting them according to the conditions.

To support higher power and a flex chassis, we adopted a design where the center pulley is supported on both sides and connected left-to-right, allowing for symmetrical fixing of the motor mount and the chassis, which also increases drive efficiency. Posts that double as a center bulkhead and battery stopper can also be fixed to the upper deck by adding spacers, allowing for the adjustment of the front-to-rear flex balance.

A new carbon graphite roll plate has been adopted for the rear to precisely control chassis roll and manage chassis behavior during cornering.

Battery fixation is now handled via a battery holder system that allows for some floating, rather than using glass tape, which affects chassis twist. This prevents the battery from falling out and saves time on replacements.

Parts that achieve high durability by meticulously selecting every material used enhance survival performance in intense races. This also leads to a reduction in running costs, allowing users of various levels to enjoy RC racing even more. The front and rear suspension arms, which are particularly prone to breakage, have been improved in rigidity while maintaining driving performance, significantly increasing crash resistance.

The front and rear shock absorbers are high-big-bore ultra-short shocks exclusively designed for the BD9, created in collaboration with AXON.
