The YZ-2 CAL3 is a 2WD off-road car designed for high-grip surfaces such as artificial turf and carpet. This evolution of the 2017 IFMAR World Championship-winning machine features low-mount shock towers that lower the shock mounting positions by 3mm and front and rear stabilizers as standard equipment to achieve overwhelming handling performance, while its long wheelbase provides highly stable driving characteristics.

While the long wheelbase enhances stability, the low center of gravity design delivers superior maneuverability.

Equipped as standard with the LC gearbox, which features a low center of gravity and excellent turning capability. It increases cornering speed on high-grip surfaces and translates that into acceleration on the straightaway.

Rigidity has been significantly increased by changing the front and rear outer suspension pins to Φ3mm and the rear inner suspension pins to Φ3.5mm. This also improves the smoothness of the suspension movement, further enhancing traction.

A front wing is also included as standard equipment to improve corner tracing accuracy. It can be securely mounted using the dedicated lightweight wing mount.

A radio tray is provided for installing the ESC and receiver. It can be easily removed, increasing maintenance efficiency.

The new battery holder features a one-touch design. The battery position can be finely adjusted, allowing for precise weight balance settings.

The CAL3 features front and rear stabilizers as standard to deliver high maneuverability. The front and rear shock towers are also specialized parts that lower the shock mounting position by 3mm for a lower center of gravity.

The 3-piece gearbox allows for easier access to the differential than previous designs, dramatically improving maintainability. A sealed gear differential is standard equipment.

Equipped with a height-adjustable cam that allows you to change the differential height, the axle position can be adjusted within a range of 0–3mm, making it possible to tune rear traction.

The suspension arms include shock mount plates, allowing for fine-tuned adjustments to the shock leverage ratio. The rear shocks can be mounted either in front of or behind the suspension arms.

The slipper clutch is a single-pad type as standard, but it can be upgraded to a double slipper by simply adding a plate and pad.

A dedicated motor fan mount allows for secure installation of a 30mm cooling fan.

The kit comes standard with the LM wing, produced by Lee Martin.
